Identity collage

Final Image

The images that I have used for my collage are manga panels, beach, peacocks, a Mexican flag, church, mountains, poinsettia, butterfly, trees, a night sky, and an anime character from a movie called " My Neighbor Totoro". I put an image of trees because I really like to go outside and go hiking it is really nice to be away from the whole city and be able to hear other things that aren't cars. I put a beach with a boardwalk because I really like to go to the beach when it's hot also when the sun goes down it makes it look really pretty. I put those manga panels and the anime character because I really like them 1 is very wholesome and cute and the others are more on the action and drama side that I really like. I put in the image of the mountains because I get fascinated by how they look and how different each one is I find them really nice to look at. I put in the poinsettia because my mother would always get some every year and place them near the windows and the dining table. I put the church and Mexican flag because that is where my parents got married and I find it as something I should really like.

To complete my identity collage I used blend modes, layer masks, paintbrush tools. I First go the pictures that I wanted to use then after that I placed them where I wanted them to be. After that, I would use those first pictures as a background image to set the colors for the images that would go on top of it. For example, I put the mountains near the bottom middle of the page. After I found a spot where I can put the mountains I would click on layer masks and erase what I would want going from the picture so it would look better. I then got a picture of a beach and placed it near the bottom portion of the mountains and used blend mode to see what would fit the nicest while blending it with the mountains. I mainly did the same things with all of my pictures either adding them on top of another picture and using the blend mode to see what looks good and if you are able to still see that picture in the collage. I would adjust the layers if I wanted a picture above another or in the back. All the pictures that I have used contain a layer mask so the pictures would look better together.
