The emotion I expressed in my portrait is joyfulness.
To create this portrait I photographed Ana Bianca one of my closest friends and whom I have known since elementary school. 
I posed her directly towards me but at an angle because the sun was a little to the left side of me.
I used rhembrant lighting to try and create a little triangle on her cheek and because she had a bucket hat on I thought I would take it to my advantage and use It to try and make a triangle on her cheek so that it would create a Rembrandt.
I edited the image by having to retouch some little hairs that were in front of her face and clear up little pimples that were on her face so her skin is able to look more clearer.
Overall I think my portrait was a success because I didn't really needed to do that much with the lighting, I just needed to position her and let the sun do the work and make the shadows appear. Since she was already is a very happy mood cause she was trying to find her crush I took that situation and made it a portrait. There wasn't really much I had to fix up and most of the picture is natural nothing that I needed to brighten up or make more darker for the shadows.  
Next time I will try and make it to where you are able to see the rhembrant on her cheek and maybe use another type of emotion instead of joyfulness or in the happy side. I will try and capture other emotions that you are able to feel outside of an image.
